You'll never need a drop of gas or an oil change. Powered exclusively by a new lithium-ion battery system, the 2012 Ford Focus Electric is projected to be the first five-passenger all-electric vehicle with a combined fuel efficiency rating of over 100 MPGe.* And if you purchase the available 240-volt charging station, you'll be able to fully charge your Focus Electric in about half the time of the 2012 Nissan Leaf.

Imagine never having to
stop for gas again.
That's what ow
ning an all-electric vehicle means for
you. And, in many ways, it's not that different from charging a cell
phone. By planning your charges in advance, you can make your day go a
lot easier because you won't be spending it searching for a place to
plug in.
With the MyFord® Mobile app, you
can schedule your vehicle to charge overnight so it's fully charged and ready for
you in the morning. The app enables you to remotely monitor and control
vehicle charge levels, plan your EV journeys, locate charging stations,
preheat or cool the car and perform other convenient EV tasks from your
smartphone.

The Focus Electric gets all of its power from
an advanced 23kWh, high-voltage, lithium-ion battery system, which means
you'll never need a drop of gas. It features an advanced liquid heating
and cooling system to regulate battery temperature and help maximize
battery life, so you can get the most miles out of each charge.
Th
e
all-electric motor is designed to help reduce energy loss and heat
generation while reducing your carbon footprint. To charge the
high-voltage, lithium-ion battery system quickly, you can have an
optional 240-volt charging station installed. It gives you a full charge
in approximately 3 to 4 hours (about half the time of the Nissan Leaf).
Focus Electric also comes with a standard 120-volt convenience cord,
which allows you to charge by using a standard 120-volt household
outlet.
